The question posed in the title of the song, “Are we human or are we dancers?” by the Killers, raises fundamental questions about human identity and agency.

Ultimately the question of whether we are raising a generation of dancers afraid to step out of line or a generation with strong virtues and identity is a question of what kind of society we as Fathers want to create.

A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society. – (Billy Graham)

The greatest legacy one can pass on to one’s children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith. – (Billy Graham)

To be a good father and mother requires that the parents defer many of their own needs and desires in favor of the needs of their children. As a consequence of this sacrifice, conscientious parents develop a nobility of character and learn to put into practice the selfless truths taught by the Savior Himself. – James E Faust

I cannot think of any need in childhood as strong as the need for a fathers protection. – (Sigmund Freud)

Don’t be the father that is so poor, that all you have is money…
