Stoa is the Stoic meditation and theory app for practitioners and doers. It combines the practical philosophy of Stoicism with mindfulness meditation.

Stoicism is “Buddhism with an attitude.” Emerging from ancient Greece and Rome, it is a philosophy that has been adopted by entrepreneurs, athletes, and psychologists. The philosophy inspired the development of cognitive-behavioral therapy, an effective treatment of anxiety and depression. Stoicism has helped millions of people improve their focus, resilience, and virtue. Recently it has been championed by authors like Tim Ferriss, Ryan Holiday, Massimo Pigliucci, Donald Robertson, and Nassim Taleb.

Stoa includes:
* Hours of guided meditations.
* A private journal.
* Thousands of quotes. Curated by author and philosopher Massimo Pigliucci with readings and analysis from his Stoic Meditations podcast.
* Conversations with experts.

Our meditation course begins by introducing the core Stoic disciplines of judgment, desire, and action. Through meditating regularly, you can practice these disciplines. In this course, you will also be introduced to the key Stoic philosophers: Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius, and Seneca.

After completing the introductory meditation course, Stoa introduces more advanced Stoic meditations such as the view from above, praemeditatio malorum, and meditations on death and gratitude.

With the hours of guided meditations and a journal, you too can practice Stoic philosophy and apply the principles to your life.

Stoa also includes a journal. Use Stoic principles and questions as prompts to build a daily journaling routine.

In addition to guided meditations and a journal, Stoa includes a library of stoic quotes and principles. The philosopher and author Massimo Pigliucci personally curated and sourced more than a thousand quotes. You can turn to these quotes and principles anytime.
