Marcus Aurelius Morning Routine has been widely revered and followed as the definitive Stoic morning routine or stoic daily practice. This Marcus Aurelius Daily Routine was written about in his book Meditations. Starting your day with this routine can bring you closer to living like a stoic in daily life.

Meditations was never meant to be published, but in it, Marcus Aurelius talks about his inner thoughts and conversations. He describes his morning practices of journaling, reflection and negative visualization. There are many practices including Memento Mori and Premeditation Malorum. All of this constitute an integral part of Stoicism 101 and of Marcus Aurelius’ Morning Routine. As a result, I tried Marcus Aurelius Morning Routine for myself.

I also recommend checking out the works of Ryan Holiday and the Daily Stoic to learn more about stoic morning routines and how to be a stoic.
